As of 1st June 2021, Spring is located within the Birmingham Clean Air Zone, this initiative adds a charge for owners of high polluting vehicles to enter certain parts of the city in a bid to tackle levels of pollutants above the legal limit.

Generally, Diesel Cars from 2015 onwards, and Petrol from 2006 onwards are exempt from this charge. Fully electric or hybrid electric (provided diesel/petrol engine complies with the aforementioned) cars are exempt from this charge.

Vehicles not within these constrains are charged at £8 per day, which can be paid 6 days in advance / after entering the zone.

You can determine your vehicles compliance, or pre-pay for your visit by clicking here.

Travelling by train

The salon is approximately eight minutes’ walk away from Birmingham New Street station. After exiting the station, cross over the road directly in front of the exit, bearing right and then left at the corner. You will walk up a slight incline to the road junction and Corporation Street is directly ahead. Following Corporation Street, House of Fraser appears on your left and a set of traffic lights are ahead. Up to this point you will have the tram line on your right-hand side. Cross over the lights and directly ahead is a large pedestrian island. Continue ahead along Corporation Street and you will see the Boston Tea Party on your right, and you will pass the Magistrates Court on your left. The Salon is the fourth shop on your left after the Magistrates Court.
